My interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning grew through hands-on projects where technology meets real-world science. In my recent project on developing a colorimetric freshness indicator using anthocyanin extracted from butterfly pea flowers, I explored how natural pigments can signal food spoilage through measurable color shifts. This inspired me to think about integrating AI and ML for smarter detection — such as using computer vision models to analyze color changes quantitatively and predict freshness levels with higher accuracy. The idea of combining experimental chemistry with intelligent data-driven systems strongly motivated me to deepen my understanding of AI and ML applications in sustainability and food safety.
